RiverPlace Condominiums EV Charging for Residents

Chicago EV partnered with RiverPlace Condominiums in Naperville, IL, to provide a comprehensive electric vehicle charging solution for their residents. Our team handled the end-to-end engineering and installation required to bring a robust, future-proof charging infrastructure to the property’s two buildings and their respective parking lots.

To ensure safe and reliable power delivery, we performed significant electrical upgrades and site work, including directional boring from the new electrical panels directly to the charger locations. We then installed and fully commissioned four dual-port ChargePoint CPF50 chargers, bringing convenient and highly efficient charging access to the community.

Complete Scope of Work

• Infrastructure Upgrades: Furnished and installed two 75kVA (480V to 120/208V) transformers and two 200A (120/208V 3P-4W) branch EV circuit breaker panels in each of the two buildings.
• Electrical Integration: Integrated two 100A 3-phase breakers into the existing electrical panels to support the new system.
• Site Work: Performed directional boring from the new EV branch panels to the final charger locations to safely route the underground conduit.
• Charger Installation: Mounted, wired, and commissioned four new dual-port ChargePoint CPF50 chargers, distributed evenly with two in each parking lot.
