Featured Project
Chicago EV installed 137 EV chargers and complete electrical infrastructure, alongside a full facility lighting retrofit for the USPS Rockford fleet.
Chicago EV partnered with the US Postal Service (USPS) in Rockford, IL, to execute a major fleet electrification project. To support the federal transition to electric delivery vehicles, our team successfully installed 137 EV chargers across the facility’s expansive indoor and outdoor parking lots. This large-scale deployment provides the essential charging backbone required to keep the Rockford mail delivery fleet powered and ready for daily dispatch.
A project of this magnitude required heavy-duty electrical upgrades. We installed comprehensive electrical infrastructure to support the massive energy load of 137 simultaneous chargers, visible in the new outdoor switchgear and distribution equipment shown in the images below. Beyond the EV charging installation, our team also performed a complete indoor and outdoor lighting retrofit, drastically improving visibility, safety, and overall energy efficiency across the entire facility.
